It has been over a Year since the last pLAN-b Gaming event was announced. In that time I have switched jobs, rebuilt my computer 5 times, and solved an incurable illness that hasn’t been seen in several decades…ok…2 of them I did, but i could have done the other if I had a few more months.
I’m pleased to announce that the next pLAN-b Gaming event will be held November 5th.
Whats that you say; Why in November?
I’ll tell you baby grasshopper…
My wife needs a vacation, actually she needs a “Time-out” from her family, a family that I’m sure is slowly driving her crazy. She will be jetting off to an undisclosed location to attend the world renowned “Time-Out for Women” tour. What better time to have my own time-out…a “Time-Out for Gaming”… This way she won’t have to deal with the whole “party” thing, and I can finally put some hydro-cortisone on this LAN party itch I have been feeling…
So now the details:

It’s that time gamers, Eric is leaving for the next 2 years, giving up the ability to game, to serve a higher calling. What better way to send him than a pLAN-b Gaming Event.
Date: August 28th
Time: Noon to Midnight(ish)
As requested by Eric, we will go for a few classics, namely a little old school Age of Empires…Yes, really.
We will also have out staple events; the UT 2004 Deathmatch Boil-off, and the Counter-Strike Head-Hunter tournament.
Check back for Sign-up to open in a week or so. Ironing out a few details to make this the best event possible.

The next pLAN-b Gaming event will be held August 1st. Tentatively the event will run 12:00pm to 12:00am, that’s noon to midnight for all you who can’t tell time. It will consist of Unreal 2004, and Counter-Strike:Source…sorry game fans, but Counter-Strike: Condition Zero is being retired, if your computer can’t run Source by now, you shouldn’t be going to LAN parties.
I was thinking a little old school Doom2 Deathmatch, just for kicks…let me know what you think.
There will be more info posted in a few weeks. As well as a schedule of online practice games.

All Game types and Maps will be open for in-game voting
including a group favorite of instagib CTF with redeemers
