So…Would anyone like to guess who had the highest overall score during our Unreal 2004 onslaught rounds?
I’ll give you a hint it wasn’t me…That’s right its the ever consistent Gatekeeper. With a frag score of 589 on just one onslaught round Gatekeeper easily secured himself the top dog spot of this event.
Do you know why he is called The Gatekeeper? He previously used the alias “SuperTech” ,but was renamed “The_Gatekeeper” by his teammates after a CTF match in Unreal 2004. While playing on Bridge of Fate, the opposing team was tied with his own, out maned and out gunned, he decided to sacrificed himself, to save his teammate who carried the flag. He stood in the archway of the main bridge, and successfully held back the opposing Godlike team, single-handedly, allowing his teammate the time needed to score the winning point. After this victory it became clear that his defensive skills where far superior than his opponents, and his ability to snipe with any weapon has lead his team to victory countless times.
Other events included a few rounds of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, which I’m sad to say will be leaving the pLAN-b game line up. I think its time to move on to Counter-Strike: Source, there wasn’t a single computer there that couldn’t have been running Source, so be expecting a pLAN-b Source server to go online in the next coming weeks.
The party went off with only a minor glitch as at one point we tripped a breaker, but after only a few minutes we where back up and running. This was really a test to see if I could host an event in the Basement of my new home, and I’m pleased to announce, I can.
Besides Myself (QW3RTY) and The Gatekeeper, other attendees included; Ladiesman, Dart, Gammapod, Shi-Thead (formerly Wisegun), H34tsink, MyHaven and EyesOnMe. We also had a few first timers; Philosophy, Ginsu, ZoZo, and Ton3p.
Our Leader board for UT 2004 included; The Gatekeeper, QW3RTY, and Shi-Thead
Our Leader board for Counter-Strike included; Dart, H34tsink, and again Shi-Thead
The next event should be sometime in May, I’m turning 30 and can’t think of a better way to celebrate that obliterating friends in deathmatch.
