OK, I know it has been a month to the day since the event, but life happens, with work, vacations, and geting the kids ready for school, time has just seemed to slip by.

Now to the event, it was a success, well in my eyes all my events are a success…we had an attendance of 7, not our biggest turn out by any means, but still a ton of fun. the attendance included QW3RTY, the_Gatekeeper, Loverboy, Shi-Thead, CCRunner, YO-man, and Lose-the-grimm, we also had a few guest players, Z0-Z0, Matrix, TrainWrecker, and the-blue-tiger (my kids), they didn’t participate in the tournaments, but they did play, and if you look in the unreal stats you will see them in there.

As for the tournaments, we played 2 different tournaments, a Boil-Off, in which all the players start, and the lowest scoring player is dropped at the end of each round. For the boil-off, we played Unreal Tournament 2004 Deathmatch, we only used the 1v1 maps to keep the play area small. I think this keeps the action level up, and the fairness equal. It got down to a close 3rd place, with QW3RTY, just barley outscoring Shi-Thead, it was intense, how ever QW3RTY got his clock cleaned in the final round, check the stats…you’ll see.  The boil-off placings are listed below.

The second tournament was something we made up on the fly, I was planning a 3v3 counterstrike round robin, but when only 7 people show, you got to work with what you have, so we played a Headshot tournament, all 7 of us vs, 7 bots in counter-strike, and at the end, we used psychostats to figure out who had the most overall headshots, it was interesting to say the least. My favorite moment was in cs_compound when Dart suggested we all hide in a shed and wait for the CT to walk past us and then get them from behind…Well, this “shed” would have been about 6′x6′ in real life, and the CT found us first…and in Counter-Strike Source they take material thickness, and bullet penitration into account, all they had to do was rittle the shed with bullets and it was over pretty quickly, I was rotflol the whole time…

Food wise we have the traditional Chilli dogs and Pizza, it ain’t a pLAN-b event with out chili dogs.

For the Headshoot Compitionon, the top 3 players who happen to be “shooting heads and taking names” are the_Gatekeeper at 44, Loverboy at 40 and Shi-Thead at 34. They each won a Alienware Hat, and An alien ware binder. The “I need a body bag” award went to Lose-the-grimm at 13 headshoots and CCrunner at 8, they each got an Alienware bag, sorry you two, but it’s all in good fun.

I’m looking forward to the next pLAN-b Gaming event, but I hope to attend a few LAN parties I’m not hosting…
